Our Mission

Lease abstraction in Europe is broken. Companies with cross-border portfolios spend thousands of hours manually extracting data from leases written in different languages, under different legal frameworks, using different conventions. A German Gewerbemietvertrag looks nothing like a French bail commercial or a Dutch huurovereenkomst.

We built LeaseIQ to fix this. Our AI reads lease documents the way a trained analyst would — understanding legal terminology in 6 EU languages, extracting 74 structured fields per contract, and linking every data point back to its source page and quote. No black boxes, no guesswork.

Why Did We Build LeaseIQ?

Mid-market EU companies managing 10–200 properties spend 2–4 hours per lease on manual abstraction. Multiply that across six languages, different legal frameworks, and country-specific conventions, and you get thousands of analyst hours wasted on repetitive data entry instead of strategic portfolio decisions. For companies reporting under IFRS 16, this manual process also introduces compliance risk — a single missed escalation clause or break option can materially affect lease liability calculations.

Existing lease management tools like VisualLease and LeaseQuery were built for the US market around ASC 842. They don't support European languages, miss IFRS 16 nuances specific to EU jurisdictions, and can't parse the legal structures found in German Gewerbemietverträge, French baux commerciaux, or Dutch huurovereenkomsten. European companies deserve a purpose-built solution that understands their market from the ground up.

How We're Different

How Does LeaseIQ Extract Lease Data?

LeaseIQ uses a three-step AI pipeline: upload your PDF, and our AI extracts 74 structured fields — each with a source citation linking back to the exact page and quote in the original document. A cross-validation layer then checks extracted values for internal consistency, flagging potential conflicts between related fields like lease term and break options. Finally, a human review interface with confidence scores lets your team verify and approve results. The entire process takes under 3 minutes per lease, compared to 2–4 hours of manual abstraction.

Every extracted field is categorized across 11 groups — from parties and financial terms to IFRS 16 parameters and sustainability clauses. The system handles scanned PDFs through built-in OCR and supports mixed-language documents where legal terms appear in the local language alongside English commercial terms.
